Brent McMillion Throws Gem in Win over Findlay

ELKINS -

Brent McMillion struck out 11 Findlay hitters en route to a complete game, two hit victory over the Oilers on Saturday at Harpertown Field.

The Oilers picked up an unearned run in the first inning, but Tanner Wickham would tie the game at one, driving in Zachary Higgins in the bottom of the third inning.

The Senators would take a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning, when Brandon Plummer scored on Guiseppe Orlando's base hit.

Following that first inning unearned run, McMillion cruised through the remainder of the game for his second win of the year. This was McMillion's first career nine inning complete game, and he set a career high for strikeouts.

The Senators would plate one more run in the eighth, when Greyson Caldwell scored Tanner Wickham, who finished with three hits on the game. Justin Worley went 2-4 in the victory, which finished as a 3-1 final.

In Game 2, the Senators and Oilers played close until Findlay blew the game open with an eight run seventh inning.

Max Larimore pitched well in five innings of work, allowing four hits and two runs. Guiseppe Orlando and Brandon Plummer each had two hits in the 12-1 loss.

Sunday's games were rained out and will not be rescheduled. The Senators will finish up the season with a four-game series against Lake Erie this weekend.
