PEPPER PIKE, Ohio-
The Senators' softball team dropped a GMAC doubleheader at the hands of the hosting Ursuline Arrows on Wednesday in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
The Senators took an early lead in Game 1, behind
Amy Fincham's big game. Fincham went 3-3 with 3 RBIs, including a two run single in the second inning to give D&E a 2-1 lead.
Amy Fincham would add a second run-scoring hit in the fourth, and
Katie Manson would single home Fincham to give the Senators a 5-1 lead.
However, Ursuline would roar back to tie the game in the seventh inning 5-5.
Fincham wasn't done, as she drove in starting pitcher
Jade Allee, who also had three hits on the day, to take a 6-5 lead in extra innings.
Ursuline would walk the game off in the bottom of the eighth with a three-run home run for an 8-5 victory.
In Game 2, the Arrows struck early off starting pitcher
Ava Willis, making her first start of her career.
Ursuline led 3-0 before
Katie Manson drove in
Kailynn Parks to cut the deficit to two.
Ursuline plated three more runs in the fourth, which was all they needed in a 6-1 victory.
Katelyn Cobb pitched a scoreless inning in relief for the Senators, who will return to action on Friday against Walsh.
