ELKINS, W.Va. - Senators give no chance to Ohio Valley University and sweep visitors in a G-MAC doubleheader.
Alyssa Cairns hit two home runs, and
Jade Allee hit one to help Davis & Elkins, who didn't allow any runs today, to win both games.
The first runs of the game came in the bottom of the first when
Rhetta Persinger doubled down the left field line, scoring
Alyssa Cairns. After that, it was
Ryn Boelter's to double up the center field and score Persinger.
After a scoreless second inning, D&E came back to score two more runs. The first one was Cairns' homerun. The second happened when
Jade Allee doubled to center field and scored
Jordan Crawford, who had stolen second base.
The Senators scored three more runs in the next two innings. The first one with

Right in the first inning, Allee had a great hit and homered, scoring herself and
Ryn Boelter, two of D&E's four runs in the inning. Boelter scored Grindstaff after doubling up the right field. Crawford scored another run stealing second and third bases.
It wasn't until the fourth inning that the Senators scored again, when Cairns hit her second home run. Crawford scored after stealing third base.
