A second half onslaught from the hosting Mercyhurt Lakers was too much for the Senators Men's Lacrosse team, falling 26-8 on Sunday in Erie.
Jordan Waddell and
Matthew Dyck each had two early goals for the Senators, who trailed 9-4 to the 13th ranked team in the country early in the second quarter.
Nolan Morrison and
Matt O'Dwyer added two goals as well, but the Lakers pressured the Senators in the second half to create many offensive chances.
Kyle Seago played the bulk of the game in goal and had 15 saves.
Clay Messinger and
Dique Reid each had four ground balls, and
Bryce McBee went 3-4 on face-off attempts to force three ground balls.
The Senators will get a ten day rest before hosting Wheeling Jesuit on Wednesday, March 27th. The game will start at 7 PM at Nuttall Field.
