ELKINS, W.Va. - The Senators fought until the end but couldn't stop Cedarville, who sits third in G-MAC, in a close game on Thursday night.

Despite being already out of the conference tournament, Davis & Elkins still played a strong game, coming up just short in stopping their strong opponent, the Cedarville University Yellow Jackets.

Davis & Elkins started behind in the first quarter, allowing the Yellow Jackets to build a five point advantage, 17-12.

The Senators kept pushing back and tied the game halfway through the 2nd quarter but Cedarville pulled away before the break, taking a 39-28 lead into halftime.

D&E rallied towards the end of the third quarter, cutting the difference to 46-41. The 4th quarter featured lead changes and excitement, as
Kali Wilburn tied the game with a layup, making it 51-51 with only 2:25 left on the clock.

After holding the lead throughout the whole game, the visitors refused to lose this one, scoring four more points and winning the game by 55-51.

Colleena Burdock, and
Kali Wilburn all had 11 points each in today's game. They also had 12, seven, and three rebounds, respectively.

The Senators will come back to action this Saturday as they play Tiffin University for a last G-MAC battle on Senior Day. The game is set for 2:00 PM at the McDonnell Center.
