ELKINS, W. Va. — Davis & Elkins' .239 hitting percentage propelled the Senators to a straight-set sweep over the visiting Concord Mountain Lions on Saturday afternoon in the McDonnell Center, 25-18, 25-17, 25-14. Not a single Senator hit in the negatives, and scoring runs in the middle of the second and third sets cemented the victory for D&E, who moves to 8-3 in Mountain East play on the season.
Kaitlyn LaCour finished with 15 kills, while
Jessa Henry added nine more.
Kelly Smith had 18 digs, while
Essence West,
Cynthia Arango, and
Kaitlyn LaCour each had eight. Arango would also add three aces as the Senators completed the season sweep of the Mountain Lions.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- First Set: Kaitlyn LaCour's five kills, along with four kills from Jessa Henry put the Senators on top in the first set, 25-18.
- Second Set: An 11-0 run behind the serve of Cynthia Arango broke a 7-7 tie to give the Senators a commanding lead in the second set.
- Third Set: A big 11-2 run in the middle of the set was the difference maker as the Senators completed the straight set victory.
MATCH NOTES
- Kaitlyn LaCour eclipsed 300 kills for the season in the first set of today's match, extending her streak of double-digit kill games to eight.
- Cynthia Arango set a career-high for aces.
- Following her kill on match point to close out the second set, Solei Daniels added three more in the third set.
