Rose's Overtime Game-Winner Lets Senators Escape with 4-3 Victory at Wheeling

WHEELING, W. Va. -  Brianna Rose's 100th-minute goal in overtime negated a 3-0 comeback by the host Wheeling Cardinals, giving the Senators a 4-3 victory on the road on Saturday in Mountain East Conference (MEC) play. Alexandra Cantarelli started off the scoring for the Senators, netting her first career goal in the 8th minute to put the visitors up 1-0, a lead D&E would take into the half. Chelsi Jadoo would score on a penalty kick to give the Senators a 2-0 lead early in the second period, and Raquel Lewis buried a strike to give the Senators a 3-0 lead shortly after.

Wheeling responded with three unanswered goals in 15 minutes to tie the game 3-3 and force overtime. Brianna Rose took a deflection into the left corner with less than a minute remaining in the first overtime period to give the Senators a key 4-3 victory.
