CANTON, Ohio - The Davis and Elkins College Women's Basketball team picked up a 69-54 win on the road against Walsh University this afternoon for a G-MAC contest.
Kali Wilburn, Colleena Burdock, and Jay Kilpatrick led the way for the Senators to beat the Cavaliers and get their fourth win in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
D&E started off strong, taking a 20-10 lead in the first quarter and would only increase the difference to 18 points by the end of the first half, going into half-time with a 39-21 lead.
The home team tried to catch up with the Senators but were not able to do so, as D&E increased the advantage to 20 points halfway through the third quarter.
D&E did not let Walsh get too close on the scoreboard and finished the game off with the final score of 69-54.
Wilburn led the Senators in points, scoring 28 herself, along with Burdock, who scored 13, and Kilpatrick, who added 12 more to the count.
The Senior Nicole Armstrong finished with a team-high nine rebounds, followed by Jamiyah Johnson, who had seven. Both scored four points each.
Burdock led the Senators in assists, she had three in the game. The sophomore also made all three shots from the free-throw line.
The Senators come back to action on Wednesday as they face Salem away for a non-conference play. The game is set for 5:00 PM in Salem, W.Va.
