ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Soccer team dropped its home opener Thursday night, falling to Trevecca Nazarene 2-0 in Great Midwest play.
 
The Senators fell behind early as Johnna Raby and Makena Schlosser scored first half goals in the 16^th and 24^th minute to give the visitors the advantage.
 
Davis & Elkins had several opportunities but were unable to capitalize on earned set pieces in the attacking zone and get efforts toward goal.
 
The Senators finished with two shots in the contest, both coming from Alyssa Jacobs.
 
Lauren Hill stopped four shots in the contest.
 
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Saturday, as the Senators host Kentucky Wesleyan. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Nuttall Field.
