HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Tennis team dropped its Great Midwest Athletic Conference match Sunday afternoon at Hillsdale College, falling 9-0.
The Senators were swept through doubles, but
Obert Matthew Mulyadi and
Alejandro Meseguer played a strong match against the No. 42 ranked doubles pairing of Justin Hyman and Charlie Adams. The Senator duo fell to the ranked pairing 8-5.
Andrew Shand and
Tristram Spitsnaugle also played well in their doubles match but eventually fell 8-3 to Dugan Delp and John Ciraci.
Spitsnaugle had the only close match in singles play. He fell to Hyman 7-5, 6-1.
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Tuesday as the Senators travel to the top of the state to face West Liberty. The match is set for first serve at 3 p.m.
