FINDLAY, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Tennis team fell to the University of Findlay Saturday afternoon 7-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
 
The Senators were in tight battles in all three doubles matches, but Davis & Elkins dropped two of the three, falling behind.
 
In the No. 3 match, Mason Schoonover and Jacob Bowman fell to Trevor Majdalani and Brad Strawser 8-4.
 
Obert Matthew Mulyadi and Alejandro Meseguer had an even tighter defeat, pushing Nicholas Kopylec and Carlos Blanco to an extra point, falling 9-7.
 
In the No. 2 doubles match, Andrew Shand and Tristram Spitsnaugle had to go the distance, defeating Jorge Barnuevo and Ivaylo Slavov in a tiebreaker 9-8.
 
In singles action, the Senators picked up one victory. Mulyadi earned the win in the No. 1 singles match, defeating Kopylec 6-2, 6-2.
 
Schoonover went to a tiebreaker in his No. 6 match, but eventually fell 10-5 in the tiebreaker after a 6-3 defeat in set one and a 6-3 win in set two.
 
The Senators will return to action on Sunday, traveling to Michigan to take on Hillsdale. The match is set for a 2 p.m. start.
