NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Lacrosse team fell to Walsh University 21-1 Saturday, snapping the Senators two-game win streak.
The Senators were unable to keep pace with the hosts, who jumped out to a 13-0 lead at the break, as the Senators were only able to get two shots on target in the first half.
Casey Johnson started off the second half on a high note for Davis & Elkins, scoring the Senators only goal of the contest 49 seconds into the period.
Walsh would score the final eight goals of the contest.
Ebele De Lay Bay Coffie stopped 11 shots on Saturday in the loss.
The Senators picked up 10 of 25 draw controls in the game, but Davis & Elkins was just 1-for-19 in clearance attempts for the game a large part of 24 turnovers.
Davis & Elkins is set to return to action on Tuesday, traveling to Virginia to take on the Sweet Briar College in a non-conference clash. The opening draw is set for 4 p.m. in Sweet Briar.
