ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Tennis team picked up a big Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Alderson Broaddus 9-0 at the Thomas Tennis Center.
 
The Senators quickly went through doubles play allowing just two points from the visitors.
 
Ester Bolmenas and Kelsie Roby picked up the only sweep, defeating Chelsea Jefferson and Taylor England 8-0.
 
In singles action, Bolmenas also picked up a clean sweep, defeating Nicole Martin 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 match.
 
Laura Vargas and Karin Rosario also made quick work in their matches, winning with identical 6-0, 6-2 scores. Vargas defeated Jefferson in the No. 3 match, with Rosario wrapping up the sweep with a win over No. 6 Andrea Corral.
 
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Friday as they travel to Kentucky to take on Kentucky Wesleyan in G-MAC play. First serve is set for 3 p.m. in Owensboro.
