ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team fell to Ohio Dominican 91-61 in the final Great Midwest home contest of 2018 for the Senators.
 
Davis & Elkins were out-rebounded 60-26, large in part to Hasan Varence's Great Midwest record 25 rebounds in the game, and were unable to match the visitors. Varence's record broke former Senator Rickenjee Bellevue's record of 22 set in 2017.
 
Ohio Dominican would use a 15-2 run in the first four minutes to pull away, growing the lead to 44-23 at the break. The Senators never led in the contest.
 
Patrick Wilburn, Trevor English and Marcus Friend all had nine points for the Senators in the contest, while Logan Phillips finished with eight points.
 
Dominic Scott-Robinson led the Senators with four rebounds. Seven Senators had two rebounds each. Scott-Robinson also led the Senators with six steals in the game.
 
Robert Bonar had a team-high three assists.
 
Davis & Elkins will look to rebound on Saturday as the Senators travel to Vienna to take on Ohio Valley. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. against the Fighting Scots.
