PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Despite trailing by double digits Tuesday night, the Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team rallied to defeat Lake Erie College 69-66 on the road in Great Midwest play.
Rickenjee Bellevue capped the comeback by sinking a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining to give D&E the lead. Bellevue then blocked a shot with five seconds left to secure the victory for the Senators.
Bellevue finished the game with game-highs in 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way for D&E, who outscored the hosts 41-27 in the second half. Bellevue also had four steals in the game.

Edmund Parker and
Trevor English all finished in double figures as well. The trio helped the Senators in the comeback bid with a majority of their points coming in the second half.
McElveen had seven in the second half to finish with 12 points for the game. McElveen also had six assists, five rebounds and three steals.
Parker finished with eight in the second half and English had seven in the second half, as both players finished with 11 points.
Parker added three rebounds, two assists and two steals, while English had five rebounds and two blocked shots.
The Senators shot 41 percent for the game, including 46 percent in the second half. D&E held Lake Erie to just 39 percent shooting and only 25 percent from behind the arc in the contest.
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Saturday, as the Senators take on rival Alderson Broaddus on the road. The game is set for a 4 p.m. tip off in Philippi.
