Trevor English and
Rickenjee Bellevue recorded double-doubles for the Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team on Saturday, leading the Senators to an 87-68 victory over Cedarville in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
English led all scorers in the contest with 25 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the field in the contest. English also grabbed 10 rebounds to complete his fourth double-double of the season. English also had two assists and two steals in the game.
Bellevue finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the game to mark his second straight double-double off the bench and fourth of the season. Bellevue also had two blocks in the game.
Jordan McElveen and
Edmund Parker also finished in double figures for the Senators, who cruised to a 9-point advantage at the break and then outscored the visitors by 10 in the second half.
McElveen finished with 18 points, the second most among all scorers in the game. McElveen also collected eight rebounds and three steals.
Parker finished with 15 points and added five rebounds and a game-high four steals.
The Senators outrebounded Cedarville 46-38 in the contest and also forced the visitors into 18 turnovers. The Senators defense held Cedarville to 33.9 percent shooting, while the Senators finished with 48.4 percent shooting and 44.4 percent shooting from 3-point range.
The Senators will hit the road for their next two games, with the first coming on Thursday at Kentucky Wesleyan. Tipoff is set for 8:45 p.m. EST.
