Rickenjee Bellevue had a dominating night to lead the Senators to a 90-73 win over Trevecca Nazarene Thursday night.
Bellevue led all scorers with 20 points in the game and was one of four Senators (11-12, 6-3 G-MAC) in double figures. However, Bellevue also led all players in two other categories.
Bellevue finished with 17 rebounds in the game and also had six blocks, including four in the second half, helping the Senators overcome a first-half deficit to outscore the Trojans (7-17, 2-6 G-MAC) by 20 after halftime.
The Senators trailed Trevecca 42-39 after the first half. However, D&E started strong in the opening minutes of the second half and pulled away after taking the lead for good at the 16-minute mark.
Jordan McElveen also had a double-double for the Senators in the game, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Kevin Bracy-Davis was one rebound shy of a double-double as well, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Wesley Sprinkle had a big game for the Senators, scoring 18 points, including four of the Senators' 11 three pointers.
Kevin Simpson and
Teron Owens were also close to double figures, each finishing with nine points. Simpson also had seven assists in the game.
The Senators will return to action on Saturday as they host Kentucky Wesleyan. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start in the McDonnell Center.
