CANTON, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins Men's Basketball team fell to Malone 71-65 Saturday afternoon on the road after leading the majority of the game.
D&E started out strong and held a 34-25 lead at the half. The Senators had the lead for the majority of the second half until the Pioneers went on a 14-0 run in the last five minutes to win the game 71-65.
In his second game of the season,
Kevin Simpson scored 17 points and dished out five assists.
Freshman
Emre Yildirim tied his season high of 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
Jordan MceIveen and
Edmund Parker both had nine points. MceIveen also had five rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Parker had an assist and a block.
Logan Philips was perfect on the floor, shooting 3-of-3 with seven points, and grabbing two rebounds.
The Senators will return to action on Saturday, as they take on rival Alderson Broaddus at home. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
