ELKINS. – Junior Edmund Parker scored a career high of 43 points to help the Davis & Elkins Men's basketball Team defeat Clarion 95-86 at home on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Senators fell to a deficit early in the game, but kept it close with the Golden Eagles thanks to Parker's lights out performance. D&E took the lead with seven minutes left in the half and led Clarion 52-45 at the half.
 
In the second half, Clarion mounted a comeback and took a lead with four minutes to go with the game. D&E responded by going on a 13-1 run in the last three minutes to win the game 95-86.
 
Parker was lights out throughout the game. Parker had 28 points by halftime by shooting 9-of-13 from the floor, and making 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
 
Parker also came in the clutch late in the second half when D&E were down by one with 3 minutes to go by making a 3-pointer to retake the lead, and scored four more points to fight off a fierce rally from the Golden Eagles.
 
Parker finished the game with 43 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made two steals. Parker was also perfect from the line, making 10 out of 10 attempts.
 
Jordan MceIveen had 16 points, grabbed five boards, and dished out four assists in his return back from injury.
 
Donte Doleman had 13 points, grabbed four rebounds and also had four assists.
 
Redshirt sophomore Trevor English dominated the glass for the second straight game, grabbing 12 rebounds (5 offensive and 7 defensive), as well as scoring nine points and dishing out four assists. English was one point away from a double-double.
 
D&E outrebounded Clarion by a significant margin, grabbing 42 boards compared to 29 from the Golden Eagles.
 
The Senators will return to action on Monday night when they travel to Charleston, W.Va. to take on former WVIAC rival Charleston at 7:30 p.m.
