ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team fell to No. 17 West Liberty University on Tuesday night 123-90 at home.
 
The Senators fell to an early deficit and came close in taking the lead, but were unable to do so, ultimately losing 123-90.
 
Jordan McEIveen led the Senators with 13 points and grabbed five rebounds.
 
Rickenjee Bellevue finished with a double-double for the Senators, recording 11 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes in action.
 
Edmund Parker fell short of a double-double. Parker had eight points but grabbed 13 boards to go with four assists.  
 
In his collegiate debut, Emre Yildirim scored 12 points in the game. Yildirim was 4-for-5 in three-pointers.
 
Another freshman, Justin Johnson scored nine points and grabbed four boards.
 
The Senators will travel to Institute to face West Virginia State Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
