ELKINS - The Women's Soccer team fell to Cedarville 2-1 in overtime.
The Senators opened the score sheet less than two minutes into the game, when
Alyssa Jacobs capitalized on a D&E corner and volleyed with her left foot into the back of the net after receiving a pass from
Asheli Freed. That was Jacobs' first goal of the season.
The Yellow Jackets quickly capitalized when Stephanie Cradduck scored after receiving a through ball from Grace Miorelli.
Both sides were unable to find the net again during regulation, so overtime was needed to decide the winner.
Eight minutes into overtime, Cradduck scored the game winner from a corner.
Alyssa Jacobs had one shot which resulted in a D&E goal.
Lauren Hill had seven saves in the contest, but was unfortunate to concede two.
The Senators travel to Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday to play Trevecca Nazarene. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m. Central Time.
