The Senators found themselves in a back-and-forth contest with West Virginia Tech (9-5) for much of the first half, before tacking a 37-36 lead into the break.

Davis & Elkins would hold onto that lead for the remainder of the contest as they opened a small advantage in the early minutes of the second half. The Golden Bears cut it back to one point with 14:50 remaining, but the Senators steadily pulled away from there, opening as much as a 15-point lead late in the contest.

Jordan McElveen came off the bench to score 22 points for the Senators in the winning effort. McElveen was 8-for-9 from the field, including a three. He also pulled down three rebounds and recorded a pair of steals to go with three assists.

Donte Doleman also finished in double figures, recording 12 points on the night. Doleman also had three rebounds and three assists.

Trevor English led the Senators on the boards with nine rebounds in the game. He also had six points, two steals and a block.
