NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Basketball team used a strong third quarter to pull away and win its fourth straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference by defeating Trevecca Nazarene 77-53.
 
The Senators (13-4, 4-2 G-MAC) outscored the Trojans (4-12, 1-5 G-MAC) 27-5 in the third quarter after a 28-28 tie at the break and maintained the advantage the rest of the way.
 
Kali Wilburn led the Senators and all scorers with 15 points and 
Sydney Turner had a big double-double as the Senators picked up their fifth straight win overall.
 
Turner collected a game-high 13 rebounds and also had 13 points. The junior also had three steals and a block in the game.
 
Wilburn added six rebounds to her 15 points, which came off a 5-for-6 night from the field.
 
Aliyah Dukes joined Wilburn and Turner in double figures, recording 11 points. Dukes also collected two rebounds and had a pair of steals.
 
Stephanie Wooten had nine points and 
Tajee Pledger finished with eight to round out the top five in scoring on the night for the Senators.
 
The Senators will return to action on Tuesday as they jump back into non-conference play with a home game against Virginia-Lynchburg. The Senators will tipoff at 5:30 p.m. in the McDonnell Center.
