Game One

The Basics

• Score: 12-0

• Records: Davis & Elkins (5-2) – St. Andrews (3-11)

• Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina

  How it Happened:

• The Senators blasted 15 hits in a five inning run rule victory.  They were able to plate single run in the top of the first and three runs in the second before exploding for eight runs in the third inning. D&E picked up one more run in the fourth to secure a 12-0 victory.   

• Danielle Norton was four for five with four RBI.

• Kayla Whoolery and Katelyn Norton both had two hits, Whoolery added two RBI.

• Allie Lapallo tossed her first no hitter of the season, striking out seven with three walks. She was also three for four at the plate with two RBI.  She was also three for four at the plate with two RBI.

Game Two:

• Score: 11-5

• Records: Davis & Elkins (6-2) – St. Andrews (3-12)

• Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina

  How it Happened:

• The Senators kept the bats rolling in game two scoring three runs in the first inning and then one more in the third inning before tallying three more runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. 

• Chelsie Stover came around to score on a Taylor Noton single to tack on the 12^th run in the top of the seventh inning.

• Kayla Whoolery was three for five.  Taylor Norton also had three hits and picked up two RBI for the Senators.

• Danielle Norton and Alyssa Cairns both had two hits for the Senators.  Norton added four RBI and Cairns another two.

• Victoria Krystynak started the game for the Senators going 2.1 innings, giving up four runs on four hits with two strikeouts.  Sara Tobin, in relief gave up one hit and one run in under an inning of work.

• Allie Lapallo earned the win in game two with 4.1 inning of relief work, surrendering two hits with five strikeouts.

Senator Synopsis:

"We hit the ball really well today," D&E head coach Kimberly Stiles said. "I was very happy with our discipline at the plate and with our resilience as a team, we got down in game two and then were able to push back and pick up the win".
