Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Senators Fall To Glenville State 92-85

ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team fell to in-state rival and old-WVIAC foe Glenville State 92-85 on Monday night, putting a close to the fall semester games as the Senators head into the winter break.

Davis & Elkins took a 41-39 lead into the break, but the Senators struggled from the free throw line and were unable to match the Pioneers in the second half, despite a come-back effort late.

Free throws were the big story, at the Senators made just 14 of 32 attempts, while Glenville State made 21 of 25.

Rickenjee Bellevue picked up another double-double in the loss. Bellevue had 15 points and a team-high 12 rebounds in the contest, all despite playing just 16 minutes as the center was in foul trouble for most of the game.

Kevin Bracy-Davis led the Senators with 21 points in the game. The senior was flirting with a triple-double until late in the second half when he went out of the game due to foul trouble. Bracy-Davis finished with eight rebounds and seven assists. He also had a block and a steal in the game.

Jordan McElveen and Teron Owens also were in double figures for the Senators. McElveen finished with 12 points and five rebounds, while Owens had 11 points and four rebounds.

Trevor English added nine points and six rebounds in the game.

The Senators will now be off until January 3, 2017, when they host West Virginia Tech. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. in the McDonnel Center.
