- The Short Story: Davis & Elkins won the first set 25-21 and the second 25-9. Salem International won the third set 25-22 but the Senators were able to pick up a win in the fourth set 25-18 and win the match. The Senators are now 3-4 in GMAC play and have won six straight matches.
How it Happened
- Neither team could find their stride early in the first set but D&E took advantage of a 5 point run to pull ahead 13-11 which proved to be enough as the Senators went on to win 25-21. Charisse Mitchell had 4 kills for the Senators followed by Devin Saucy (3).
- In the second set, the Senators jumped out to an early 9-0 lead and were able to maintain control of the set – winning 25-9. Mitchell again led D&E with 4 kills.
- The Senators and Tigers played to an early 8-8 tie before Salem pulled ahead 11-8. D&E was able to bounce back and even the score at 14. The teams battled back and forth in the tight set and the Tigers were able to pick up a 25-22 win. Freshmen Tallora Soriana had 6 kills for the Tigers.
- D&E went on an 8 point run in the fourth set to make the score 15-5 and played hard to win 25-18 and take the match. Charisse Mitchell led the Senators in the match with 10 kills.

"Overall we played well. Our serving really helped us get ahead and get a nice lead. In order to continue to be successful we need to stay focused and play our game throughout the entire match," said Head Coach Kylie Carrington.
