Davis and Elkins College Athletics

Lachazity Shaver enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Davis & Elkins women’s basketball and volleyball programs in 2025-26. 

A 2025 graduate of Davis & Elkins, Shaver returns to Elkins after a standout four-year playing career with the Senators. She appeared in 99 games and made 85 starts during her time on the court, serving as a consistent and dependable presence in the lineup. Shaver competed at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels and finished her career at D&E, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training and a Bachelor of Arts in English. 

Shaver brings additional coaching experience to the sidelines after serving as a head and assistant coach with the Albany Lady Stars AAU program, where she mentored players and helped lead training sessions focused on skill development and team success. She also volunteered with Beat the Streets, coaching young athletes between the ages of six and fifteen. 

Alongside her basketball background, Shaver also contributes to the volleyball program. She played varsity volleyball for two years in high school and recently assisted at the collegiate level back home in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. 

Shaver officially joined the Davis & Elkins coaching staff in August 2025.
