Harley Kinney: A Passionate Leader in Women's Lacrosse

Harley Kinney is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse program at Davis & Elkins College, where she has made a significant impact since being the first hire by head coach David Pomeroy in June 2021. Her diverse skill set and commitment to the sport have made her an invaluable asset to the team.

In her multifaceted role, Kinney serves as the recruiting coordinator, defensive coordinator, and strength & conditioning coach, bringing a holistic approach to player development. Her leadership helps foster both athletic performance and personal growth among the student-athletes she mentors.

Kinney’s journey in athletics began at the collegiate level in Wisconsin, where she played lacrosse at Northland College and Marian University, while also showcasing her talents in soccer and ice hockey. This diverse athletic background enriches her coaching perspective and allows her to connect with her players on multiple levels.

She is deeply grateful to her parents, Wyvern and Patrick Kinney, for their unwavering support throughout her journey.

As a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa “Ojibwe,” Kinney proudly represents her heritage and brings a sense of community and cultural awareness to the program.
