Shane Levenson was named head coach of the Davis & Elkins College men’s and women’s golf programs in 2025.

Levenson brings more than 25 years of coaching experience and a diverse background in athlete development, leadership, and collegiate athletics. He arrived in Elkins after serving as the assistant men’s and women’s golf coach at NCAA Division I Chicago State University, where he helped lead the men’s team to the 2025 Delaware Shootout title and coached multiple individual medalists, including champions at the Alabama State Puerto Rico Invitational and the TSU Starks Invitational.

Before his time at Chicago State, Levenson was the assistant coach at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte. During his tenure, the men’s team won the 2022 USCAA National Championship, and the women’s program produced back-to-back individual national champions in 2022 and 2023.

A PGA of America Associate and certified athletic trainer, Levenson has extensive experience working with elite athletes. He spent more than a decade as Head Performance Specialist with Naval Special Warfare, overseeing performance nutrition, injury prevention, and recovery programming for tactical athletes. He has also held strength and conditioning leadership roles at Cleveland State and Nova Southeastern, working with NCAA Division I and II student-athletes.

A former collegiate baseball player at Wingate University, Levenson earned his bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and athletic training. He later completed a master’s degree in sports medicine and sports management at Nova Southeastern University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holds multiple national certifications.
