Benjamin Garris is in his first season as a student manager on the Davis & Elkins swimming team in 2020-21. The hospitality and tourism management major will help various day-to-day facets of the program, including meet day management, working with the team at practice and more.
Garris, the son of Dennis and Malinda, has two siblings (Luke, Anna) and graduated from The Lab School of Washington in 2019. A member of his high school swimming team, he competed for coaches Anne McLindon and Lauren Jacob.
Garris, minoring in marketing at D&E, is the paternal grandchild of Orvan & Mary Jean Garris and the maternal grandchild of Rudolph & Maureen Malys.
