Demontrez Austin brings a ton of experience and a winning mindset to Davis and Elkins College. He was the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Ellsworth Community College, where he helped the Panthers make it to the NJCAA National Tournament and win the NJCAA Region XI Championship. During his time there, he coached one NJCAA All-American and five ICCAC Region XI All-Conference players.
Austin also spent two seasons at Middle Georgia Prep, where he focused on skill development, academics, strength, and conditioning and served as the lead recruiter. He’s also had coaching roles at Andrew College and Reinhardt University.
Before his coaching career, Austin played at Jacksonville University, where he appeared in 57 games, shooting 53% from the floor and averaging 4 rebounds per game.
