Craig Ford joined the Davis & Elkins men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025–26 season. He brings a strong background in player development, recruiting, and program-building success at both the high school and junior college levels.
Prior to arriving in Elkins, Ford spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Macomb Community College, where he helped guide the program to a 61-10 overall record and consecutive NJCAA national tournament appearances. Macomb finished 7th nationally in 2023–24 and 5th in 2024–25, capturing MCCAA East Division and NJCAA Region 12 titles in both seasons, as well as the 2023 MCCAA State Championship. The team also set program records for most wins in a season (31 in 2023–24) and posted the first back-to-back 30-win campaigns in school history.
During his time at Macomb, Ford coached two NJCAA All-Americans, multiple All-MCCAA honorees, and helped 11 of 12 sophomores move on to four-year programs—including four at the Division I level.
Before his time in the junior college ranks, Ford coached at Trillium Academy from 2019–2023. After three seasons as an assistant, he was named interim head coach in 2022–23 and led the program to a 21-4 record, earning AP Division 4 Coach of the Year honors. Across four seasons at Trillium, Ford compiled a 65-14 overall record, won back-to-back MMAC Conference titles, and captured district championships in 2022 and 2023. His 2023 team advanced to the regional final and finished 8th in the MHSAA Division 4 state rankings. He also coached AP Division 4 Player of the Year, Damaryon Fishburn.
