Davis & Elkins kept the game within reach through four innings before the Bobcats broke it open in the fifth, scoring six runs highlighted by a three-run home run from Dylan Neach and a two-run double by Josiah Segura.

WVWC added another run in the sixth to extend the margin.

The Senators finished with seven hits, including two-hit performances from Brenneman and Walters. Brenneman also added a double.

Diego Reyes took the loss after allowing five runs over four innings of work.

Game Two: West Virginia Wesleyan 6, Davis & Elkins 5

Davis & Elkins battled throughout but came up just short in a 6-5 loss in the season finale.

West Virginia Wesleyan scored first in the second inning, but the Senators answered in the third. Brenneman singled home Carsan Strolla, and Nick Colarossi followed with a two-run single to give D&E a 3-1 lead.

The Bobcats responded in the fifth, capitalizing on defensive miscues and timely hitting to score four runs and regain a 5-3 advantage.

D&E fought back in the sixth, cutting the deficit to 6-5 on an RBI single from Jett Walters and an RBI error that allowed Brenneman to score. The Senators were unable to complete the comeback despite late baserunners.

Davis & Elkins finished with 12 hits in the nightcap, led by a 3-for-5 effort from Carsan Strolla and multi-hit games from Walters, Brenneman, and Joel Wise.

Bryce Hines took the loss in his final collegiate appearance.
