Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. — Wheeling defeated Davis & Elkins, 18-8, Tuesday afternoon at McDonnell Field in the Luke Norcross Memorial Game, which served as the season finale for the Senators.
Davis & Elkins Senators men's lacrosse finished the 2026 season at 1-14 overall and 0-10 in Mountain East Conference play, while Wheeling closed at 7-6 overall and 6-4 in league action.
Davis & Elkins opened the game with early energy, trading goals in the first quarter and briefly holding a 3-2 advantage after a man-up goal from Xzavier Jankowiak. Wheeling answered with steady offense and took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Senators 5-0 in the frame to build a 7-3 halftime lead.
The visitors extended their advantage with a dominant third quarter before both teams traded goals in the fourth. Davis & Elkins tallied four goals in the final period, including two from Karsen Kronen, but could not close the gap.
Kronen led the Senators with four goals, while Charlie Taylor added two goals and two assists. Jankowiak and JayC Morlog also scored, and Devon Garcia contributed two assists.
Wheeling was led by Jack Rowe, who finished with seven goals and three assists. Ben Tornatore added three goals and an assist, while Andrew Turner and Ayden Shepard each posted four-point performances.
Davis & Elkins goalkeeper Avery Linthicum recorded 15 saves in the complete game effort.
The contest marked the final game of the season for the Senators.
