ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College Athletics is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Davis & Elkins College Athletics Hall of Fame, inviting alumni, fans and community members to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Senators' athletic tradition.

Nominations are open for both former student-athletes and non-athlete contributors who have demonstrated excellence, leadership and dedication to Davis & Elkins Athletics.

Student-Athletes
To be eligible for induction, student-athlete nominees must be graduates of Davis & Elkins College and must have been alumni for a minimum of 10 years. Nominees must have competed as varsity student-athletes during their time at the institution.

The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will evaluate nominees based on the following criteria:

• Playing Ability – Demonstrated exceptional skill and performance in their sport.
• Integrity – Maintained high ethical standards on and off the field of play.
• Sportsmanship – Exhibited fairness, respect for opponents and dignity in victory and defeat.
• Character Contributions – Positively influenced teammates and the campus community through actions and conduct.
• Leadership – Displayed strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire others.
• Honors or Recognition – Earned accolades and recognition for athletic accomplishments.
• Achievements – Reached significant milestones or established notable records in their sport.
• Postgraduate Work and Service – Continued to make meaningful contributions in professional or community endeavors following graduation.

Non-Athletes
Nominations are also open for coaches, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and friends of Davis & Elkins Athletics who have made significant contributions to the department.

To be eligible, nominees must no longer be employed by the college and must have been separated from the institution for at least five years. Coaches, faculty, staff and administrators must have completed a minimum of four years of service at Davis & Elkins.

Non-athlete nominees will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Integrity – Demonstrated strong character and ethical leadership.
• Leadership – Provided impactful guidance and support for Davis & Elkins Athletics.
• Character Contributions – Positively influenced the college and athletics community.
• Honors or Recognition – Earned respect and acknowledgment for contributions to the program.
• Achievements at D&E and Beyond – Made lasting contributions that have positively impacted the institution and broader community.

Davis & Elkins Athletics encourages alumni, faculty, staff and supporters to submit nominations for deserving individuals who have left a lasting legacy on the Senators' athletic program. Nominations should include detailed information outlining the candidate's accomplishments and contributions.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2026 Hall of Fame class is May 15.
