HUNTINGTON, W. Va. — Davis & Elkins men's and women's indoor track and field competed at the Marshall Jewel City Invitational on Saturday at Jeff Small Track inside the Chris Cline Athletic Complex, highlighted by school records, national rankings, and multiple top performances.

The women were led by Savanna Hardman, who captured first place in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best time of 9:45.88. Hardman broke her own school record by 14 seconds and now ranks 23rd nationally in Division II in the event.

Lauren Twyman also delivered a standout performance, setting a new Davis & Elkins school record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.44. Her mark ranks 58th nationally in Division II and leads the Mountain East Conference this season. Twyman added a sixth-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best 10:10.70.

Jeanne Pelissier placed fifth in the 3,000 meters in 10:10.10, while Rebecca Tellez, Zoe Belshan, and Brooke Jacobs each posted season or personal bests in the event. Sierra Taylor finished 11th in the mile and also competed in the 800 meters.

On the men's side, Jordan Thomas turned in one of the top performances of the meet, finishing second in the 3,000 meters with a season-best time of 8:29.53. Jacob Dowdy added a fifth-place finish in the 5,000 meters, while Jack Waggy placed 17th in the 3,000 meters.

Ian Wood had a strong all-around day, qualifying for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best 8.56 before placing sixth in the final in 8.51. Wood also finished ninth in the high jump at 1.83 meters and recorded a personal-best 5.84 meters in the long jump.

The Senators also posted strong middle-distance performances in the mile, led by Cooper Gibson, who placed seventh with a season-best time of 4:18.55. Fletcher Van Heuven followed closely in eighth place, also recording a season-best mark of 4:19.61. Slate Swiger finished ninth in 4:20.90, while Tommy Bildheiser added a 12th-place finish.

Davis & Elkins will close the indoor regular season at the Mountain East Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 21–22 in Huntington, W. Va.
