Box Score GLENVILLE, W. Va. — The Davis & Elkins College men's basketball team dropped a 93-81 Mountain East Conference decision to Glenville State on Wednesday night at the Waco Center.
The Pioneers used a strong first half to build a 52-39 lead at the break and held off a second-half push by the Senators to secure the conference victory.
Noah Adamczyk led Davis & Elkins with 23 points, knocking down three three-pointers and going 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. Vegas Evans added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Matthew Gray finished with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Malachi Hampton contributed nine rebounds and five points in the loss.
Davis & Elkins shot 38.9 percent from the field and connected on 11 three-pointers, while collecting 31 rebounds and receiving 19 points from the bench.
Glenville State was led by Prince Mosengo and Corey Boulden, who each scored 14 points. Jalen Knott added 14 points and five assists, while Elijah Redfern dished out eight assists. The Pioneers shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded the Senators 50-31.
The Senators return home on Saturday, Feb. 14, to host Concord University in MEC action. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the McDonnell Center in Elkins, West Virginia.
