ELKINS, W. Va. – The Davis & Elkins College men's lacrosse team was selected 11th in the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll, released by the conference office.
Seton Hill was voted the preseason favorite after claiming the 2025 G-MAC championship, earning 111 points and 10 first-place votes. Walsh followed in second with 101 points and one first-place vote, while associate member Davenport was picked third with 87 points. Northwood and Lake Erie rounded out the top five.
Wheeling was selected sixth in the poll. Malone, Thomas More and Tiffin finished tied with 47 points each, followed by Point Park in 10th. Davis & Elkins completed the 11-team poll with 23 points.
The Senators return senior attack Jordan Delorme, one of the team's top offensive contributors from last season. Delorme recorded 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points while shooting .500 and collecting 29 ground balls. Senior Charlie Taylor also returns after tallying 15 goals and eight assists for 23 points, adding 23 ground balls.
Davis & Elkins also welcomes back sophomore goalkeeper Avery Linthicum, who appeared in 16 games and made 13 starts as a freshman. Linthicum totaled 290 saves on the season and will anchor a roster that features experienced returners along with multiple new faces.
The Senators will look to build on their foundation as they prepare for the 2026 season.
