Box Score BUCKHANNON, W. Va. — Davis & Elkins women's basketball continued Mountain East Conference play Saturday afternoon, falling 92-60 to West Virginia Wesleyan at the Rockefeller Center.
The Bobcats built an early lead and maintained control throughout the contest, shooting 51.5 percent from the field for the game. Davis & Elkins (1-18, 0-11 MEC) showed improved offensive balance in the second half, scoring 38 points after the break.
Jahniya Marion led the Senators with 17 points, adding four rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes of action. Kylie Morris finished with 11 points, while Jatia Markes chipped in nine points off the bench. Addison Boram added seven points, and Briyana Sapp contributed six points and three rebounds.
Davis & Elkins went 18-of-25 from the free-throw line and recorded 22 bench points in the contest. The Senators also forced 13 turnovers and converted 14 points off those miscues.
West Virginia Wesleyan was led by Emma Witt, who scored a game-high 26 points while shooting 10-of-11 from the field. Kilah Dandridge added 13 points, and Ana Young finished with 11 points for the Bobcats.
Davis & Elkins returns home Wednesday, Jan. 28, hosting Point Park University in an MEC matchup at the McDonnell Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
