Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins women's soccer dropped a tight 1-0 decision to Tiffin on Saturday afternoon at Nuttall Field.
The Dragons struck early when Mackenzie Borden found the back of the net in the second minute, providing the game's only goal. Despite the early deficit, the Senators settled in and created several chances, outshooting Tiffin 7-6 and holding a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
Davis & Elkins goalkeeper Olivia Jones recorded two saves, while Frederique Morin and Sophia Brown each tallied multiple shot attempts to pace the Senators' attack. Valeria Gabrie forced a late save in the closing minutes, but Tiffin's defense held firm to preserve the shutout.
The Senators fall to 0-1-1 on the season, while Tiffin improves to 1-0-1.
