Box Score ATHENS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins fell on the road Sunday, dropping a 2-1 decision to Concord in Mountain East Conference men's soccer action at Callaghan Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, the Senators struck first in the 48th minute. Josiah Bobb scored his first goal of the season, finishing a pass from Hugo Fauli, who recorded his team-leading third assist.
Concord responded with two second-half goals. Raheem Baptiste leveled the match in the 56th minute, and Malher Santi Possu netted the game-winner in the 72nd minute for the Mountain Lions.
D&E finished with nine shots, including five on goal, while Concord posted 10 shots with three on target. Fauli led the Senators with two shots on goal, while Francisco Lopez Kreik and Santiago Maiolo each added one.
Goalkeeper Charlie Phillips played the full 90 minutes for D&E, recording one save.
The Senators (2-2-3, 2-1-2 MEC) return home Wednesday, Oct. 1, to host Point Park in conference play. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. at Nuttall Field.
