ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins volleyball team opened its home and Mountain East Conference slate Friday evening, falling 3-0 to Point Park inside the McDonnell Center. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.

The Senators (0-11, 0-1 MEC) were led by Melisa Ozsar and Christine Rangel, who each tallied five kills. Neve Norris added four kills, eight digs and two service aces. Setter Emily Besten finished with nine assists, while Keira Robinson chipped in seven.

Defensively, Norris and Maddie Edicola combined for 14 digs, while Kaylee Vanjo and Braelyn Brenneman each recorded a block.

Point Park (2-9, 1-0 MEC) hit .206 as a team, paced by Nicole Reasbeck's nine kills and six block assists.

The Senators return to action Tuesday, Sept. 30, with a 7 p.m. road match at Glenville State in Glenville, West Virginia.
