BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced Monday that Davis & Elkins College senior Jordan Thomas has been named Cross Country Runner of the Week, a weekly award presented by The Health Plan.
Thomas, a senior from Morgantown, placed second out of 120 competitors in the 8-kilometer race at the Robert Morris Invitational, finishing with a time of 24:30. His performance helped the Senators secure runner-up in team points, besting Division II Walsh, ranked No. 21 nationally, and a pair of Division I programs.
The recognition marks another highlight in Thomas' career as he continues to lead the Senators' men's cross country program.
Davis & Elkins will next compete at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Lock Haven University's West Branch Course in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
