Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Geneva on Saturday afternoon at the Senators Tennis Courts.
The Senators swept doubles play to grab the early point. Erin Laubscher and Liebe Oosthuizen collected a 6-4 win at No. 1, while Fabienne Lahn and Lilly Wentzler posted a 6-0 result at No. 2. Maddie Frazier and Emiliana Golac added a 6-0 decision at No. 3.
In singles action, Davis & Elkins controlled the lineup, taking five of six courts. Oosthuizen secured a straight-set win at No. 2 (6-3, 6-2), with Laubscher following at No. 3 (6-0, 6-1). Andreia Semeano delivered a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4, while Wentzler tallied a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 5. Golac completed the match with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 6.
Geneva's lone point came at the top singles spot, where Chloe DeSanzo edged Lahn in a third-set super tiebreaker, 6-7, 6-3, 10-8.
