ELKINS, W. Va. — Davis & Elkins put together a strong all-around performance Saturday afternoon, earning an 84-57 Mountain East Conference road victory over Point Park University in Pittsburgh.

The Senators set the tone early, opening the game with an efficient offensive showing and building a 44-28 lead at halftime. D&E continued to control the tempo in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 40-29 to secure the conference win.

Vegas Evans led the Senators with 21 points and eight rebounds, shooting 9-of-13 from the field while adding five assists. Matthew Gray followed with 15 points and five rebounds, while Darrius Roach added 11 points and three assists off the bench.

Davis & Elkins moved the ball well throughout the contest, finishing with 22 assists on 36 made field goals, and held a 41-27 rebounding advantage. The Senators also capitalized in transition and in the paint, scoring 54 points inside and receiving 31 points from the bench.

Point Park was led by Kaden Warner, who scored 16 points, while Greg Williams added 13 for the Pioneers.

Davis & Elkins returns to Mountain East Conference play Wednesday, Dec. 17, traveling to Wheeling University for a 7:30 p.m. matchup in Wheeling, West Virginia.
