Box Score ELKINS, W. Va. — Davis & Elkins dropped a Mountain East Conference road contest at Point Park University, 77-52, on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
Point Park opened the game with a strong first half, building a 43-22 advantage at the break and maintaining control throughout the second half. The Pioneers shot 40.6 percent from the floor and went 21-of-30 from the free-throw line in the win.
Jahniya Marion led the Senators with 17 points, adding six steals, five assists and seven rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Kylie Morris finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Kalese Salter chipped in five points and four assists. Davis & Elkins totaled 47 rebounds and continued to work for scoring opportunities on the offensive end.
Point Park was paced by Teshaya Anderson, who scored a game-high 22 points, while Elizabeth Boyd added 20 points off the bench. Fatim Sarr Ndow recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Davis & Elkins returns to action Monday, Dec. 15, when the Senators travel to Kent State University for an 11:00 a.m. nonconference matchup in Kent, Ohio.
