Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins College women's soccer wrapped up its 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday night at Culpepper Stadium.
Senior Frederique Morin delivered the game-winning goal for the Senators in the 69th minute, securing the team's second win of the season in her final collegiate appearance. Morin's strike capped a composed performance from the veteran leader, who helped set the tone for D&E on both sides of the field.
Goalkeeper Gabriela Acevedo earned her second shutout of the season with five saves, leading a disciplined defensive unit that held the Bobcats (7-9-2, 5-9-1 MEC) to just six shots on goal. The Senators (2-11-5, 2-10-4 MEC) countered with seven total shots, including attempts from Morin, Ava Sherman, Hanna Tomas, Addy Cogar, Brenda Castro, and Rafaela Leão.
