Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The No. 5-seeded Davis & Elkins men's soccer team concluded its 2025 season Wednesday night with a 2-0 loss to top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 1 University of Charleston in the Mountain East Conference Tournament semifinals at Welch Athletic Complex.
The Senators held the Golden Eagles to a single goal in each half, keeping the nation's top-ranked offense contained for much of the match. Goalkeeper Charlie Phillips tallied three saves on 10 shots faced across 90 minutes.
Hugo Fauli led D&E with two shots on goal, while Yiftah Harari added another attempt. The Senators recorded three total shots and two on target.
Charleston found the net in the 17th minute and again in the 70th to advance to the MEC championship match.
Davis & Elkins finished the 2025 season with an 8-7-4 overall record and a 7-5-4 mark in conference play, marking back-to-back appearances in the MEC semifinals.
