Box Score SALEM, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins fell in straight sets to Salem (25-13, 25-16, 25-23) Friday evening at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
Kaylee Vanjo led the Senators with six kills and five digs. Kelsea Moore followed with four kills and a service ace, while Christine Rangel added five kills, two blocks and seven total points.
Setter Keira Robinson paced the offense with 16 assists and two blocks, and Neve Norris notched 13 digs and five kills to lead the back row. Braelyn Brenneman also contributed two solo blocks and three kills at the net.
After dropping the first two sets, the Senators battled in the third, rallying from an early deficit to pull within one at 24-23 before Salem closed out the match.
Davis & Elkins returns to Mountain East Conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with a 7 p.m. road match at the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va.
