Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College volleyball team fell in straight sets to visiting Charleston (WV) on Tuesday evening at the McDonnell Center in Mountain East Conference action. The Golden Eagles took the match 25-15, 25-15, 25-14.
Christine Rangel and Neve Norris each totaled four points to lead the Senators. Rangel recorded three kills and added four digs, while Norris contributed two service aces, two kills, and four digs. Kaylee Vanjo also tallied three kills and a block, and setter Keira Robinson finished with eight assists, a service ace, and a kill. Maddie Edicola led the defense with seven digs.
Charleston (10-9, 3-1 MEC) hit .271 as a team and was paced by Kate Strong's eight kills and three blocks. The Golden Eagles posted seven aces and 34 total kills while limiting Davis & Elkins to 16 kills and a -.033 hitting percentage.
The Senators (0-14, 0-4 MEC) continue their homestand Friday at 7:00 p.m. against Concord inside the McDonnell Center. The match will also mark the program's 25th anniversary celebration of volleyball at Davis & Elkins College, honoring alumni and the history of the program.
